We will be temporarily pausing NEW theme submissions starting Friday, Feb 27. This will allow us to prepare the theme catalogue for v6, and will allow you to spend time updating your existing themes for v6!

Themes are very important for all users of Astro: new users who want a quick way to get started; busy users who just want a pre-built template; curious users who want to see how you made your theme... and so many more!

When Astro updates to v6, we want as many v6-updated themes as possible so people get started on the right foot.

So we're giving you a (mandatory) break from designing new themes, and allowing you time to update the ones you already have. And when you do get a theme updated, please update its listing to clearly state "Updated for Astro v6!" (probably somewhere near the top!) This is the best way to make your themes stand out!

You can start testing your theme with a beta release of Astro v6 right now (we're already up to beta-15!) or wait until Astro 6 is released. We will not open up again to new submissions right away after release again so that everyone has some time to work on their existing themes and no one has to feel any pressure to add new themes!
